Shao Yiwen secures three gold medals at the 2011Chinese Long Course Nationals, Rizhao
The 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals ended in Rizhao, China, after the national championship conducted meets for successive four days from September 22-25, 2011.
Shao Yiwen put up a great show and notched three gold medals on the platform in this championship. At the beginning, Shao Yiwen secured the golden crown on the podium in the Women’s 200m freestyle. Secondly, Yiwen earned the gold medal in the 400m freestyle
final heat. In addition, Shao captured the Women’s 800m freestyle title.
On the other hand, Lu Ying took home the Women’s 50m butterfly crown. Moreover, Ying won the Women’s 100m butterfly title on the podium. Furthermore, Tang Yi took home the Women’s 100m freestyle title.
In the Women’s 200m freestyle race, Yiwen powered the wall with a record mark of 1 minute and 58.29 seconds and won the gold medal on the podium. In the corresponding swim, Pang Jiaying secured the silver medal on the stage by posting a matchless time of
1 minute and 58.92 seconds. Meanwhile, Guo Junjun earned bronze medal on the podium by submitting an impressive time of 1 minute and 59.41 seconds.
Secondly, Shao Yiwen took home the Women’s 400m freestyle crown on the podium by posting a unique time of 4 minutes and 04.59 seconds. In the corresponding splash, Li Xuanxu hit the wall in 4 minutes and 04.62 seconds to win the silver medal of the platform,
whereas, Xin Xin settled for bronze in a time of 4 minutes and 07.98 seconds.
In the Women’s 800m freestyle final race, Shao Yiwen secured her third consecutive gold medal on the podium by posting a fabulous time of 8 minutes and 24.78 seconds. In the meantime, Li Xuanxu took home the silver title of the platform by submitting a riveting
mark of 8 minutes and 25.18 seconds. Last, but not the least, Bi Yirong claimed bronze medal on the podium by posting a unique time of 8 minutes and 34.09 seconds.
Then, Lu Ying topped the Women’s 50m butterfly final event with a winning mark of 25.99 seconds. In the corresponding race, Ling Shuyuan earned silver medal on the podium by posting a winning time of 26.64 seconds, whereas, Jiao Liuyang settled for bronze
with a decisive mark of 26.75 seconds.
In the Women’s 100m butterfly final heat, Lu Ying claimed her second gold medal on the podium by posting a remarkable time of 57.99 seconds. Sun Mengyue grabbed the silver title of the platform by submitting a time of 58.94 seconds, while Zhou Yilin settled
for bronze with a mark of 59.04 seconds.
Additionally, Tang Yi powered the wall in 54.65 seconds to secure the gold medal in the Women’s 100m freestyle. Wang Shijia claimed silver title on the podium by submitting a scintillating time of 55.38, while Zheng Yanan secured the bronze medal by posting
riveting mark of 55.49 seconds.
The arena applauded for the mesmerising and versatile swims of Shao Yiwen and Lu Ying, while the victorious were awarded medals and accolades after the session’s completion.
