The former Basel starlet further added that they should not lose focus in the next few weeks if they are to win some silverware this season. The Swiss attacker stated that Die Roten can reclaim their league success, but insisted
there is a long campaign ahead of them and they need to be very consistent to win the title.
"Of course I hope so, but there is still a long way to go,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The explosive winger revealed that Bayern are doing good so far and have strengthened their position at the top of the table, but they cannot be complacent as results can change in a brief time.
"At the moment, things are going well. We are top of the table and things are looking good, but we all know how quickly things can change in football. This is just how things stand at the moment,” he mused.
"Of course the statistics look positive, but what is important for us is that we are top at the end. For that to happen, we have to keep our concentration and keep working as we have been doing so far,” he finally concluded.
Shaqiri conceded that odds are in their favour but they need to focus in order to bring success back to the Bavarian outfit.
