The Swiss international was pleased with the Bundesliga outfit’s dominance over Wolfsburg, and also commended his team members’ impressive showings in the game.

The manager Jupp Heynckes suggested that even though they controlled the game, Wolfsburg gave them a tough time. However, the coach admitted that the visitors were unable to make an impact after the home team scored the second
goal. The match was more or less finished by that time as the rival team realised they will not be able to trouble the Bayern defence anymore.
"Despite our dominance, it wasn't easy against Wolfsburg today, but once we'd gone 2-0 up, you could see it was done and dusted and our opponents recognised they wouldn't take anything away from here," Heynckes stated.
The attacking midfielder claimed that they were in cruise control and was delighted with his compatriots, as the Bavarian club extended their great run of form. He conceded that the team wanted to carry their weekend form in the
Wolfsburg match and that was exactly what they did.
The outcome was great for the home team but they could have added a few more goals, as they missed a handful of goal scoring chanced.
"We wanted to carry on from where we left off on Saturday. It was a very good game from our point of view, and we can be satisfied with the result, although we could have scored more,” Shaqiri mused.
"We have real depth in a very good squad, and we're capable of excellent football. If we're enjoying ourselves, we're difficult to beat," he finally concluded.
Shaqiri commented that Bayern have quality players in the squad and have enough firepower to lead them to a title success this season.
