Shaquille O’Neal to fight Former MLB star Jose Canseco – UFC News
Jose Canseco, former MLB star who was recently dismissed from a Mexican baseball team, has been repeatedly challenging Shaquille O’Neal to fight him. Jose, 47, was fired from the league for his usage of testosterone.
Jose Canseco made full use of the current social media trend and used his Twitter account to bring Shaquille O’Neal to an agreement. He repeatedly challenged Shaquille O’Neal to confront him in the cage. To a certain extent, Shaquille O’Neal was avoiding
him but now he has finally accepted the challenge and both men will face each other in a cage match.
However, Shaquille O’Neal did not accept the challenge straight away. When asked, Shaquille O’Neal iterated, “I challenged him a long time ago. If he wants it done, he knows where to find me. He can be high off whatever, and I’ll be high off Frosted Flakes.”
In other words, Shaquille O’Neal revealed that he was the first one to put a challenge on the table. Not only Jose, Shaquille O’Neal had previously expressed his will to face Hong Man Choi in the ring as well.
It should be noted here that Shaquille O’Neal has not yet made his professional debut. He has never been in a professional fight. However, he has been training for MMA for the last couple of years. According to him, he has been into Mixed Martial Arts since
2000. Not only this, Shaquille O’Neal has also acquired boxing training, wrestling training, Muay Thai training and BJJ training at the Jonathan Burke’s Gracie Gym.
Even though both the fighters have exchanged words and have informally come to an agreement, no news from any UFC official has come in yet. Acceptance of the fight has only been between the fighters yet. If UFC announces a bout between both of them then
we will be even more excited. Shaquille O’Neal has a record of boasting his MMA skills but since he has never entered the ring, we are not sure if he will ever. If he does not, then even this time it will be a prank for MMA fans, which would really push them
away.
