Share The Spoils and Penskey John joint favourites for the Stondon Midi Dup
A close competition between Share The Spoils and Penskey John is expected in the Stondon Midi Dup at Henlow in England on Thursday, March 15, 2012. The winner of the event will walk away with a cash prize of £150.
A total of six quality runners have been attracted towards the Grade OR, 550 metres flat race, which is scheduled to start at 20:58 GMT. The entries confirmed are: Share The Spoils, Penskey John, Westmead Aouita, Sundance Saffy, Stressmanagement and Salacres
Cool.
It will be difficult to judge that which of the joint favourite hounds manages to win the race today. The bettors will have to monitor things quite closely, as they will have to make a close call today.
Share The Spoils, trained by C. Kyme, has been performing well in different grades, but things will be different for her today. She will not be aware of the conditions at Henlow, as this will be her first outing at the venue. This might work against her,
but she has still managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers.
In her most recent outing at this level, Share The Spoils could only manage a fourth place finish. Her pace at the start was good, but she failed to capitalise on that, as she ran wide and lost momentum.
The black b***h is the daughter of Head Hound out of Paradise Alanna and was born in September 2009.
On the other hand, Penskey John also lacks momentum, as he has been struggling to some extent in his recent outings. He is a quality runner and the bookmakers expect him to break the shackles at Henlow today.
M. Wallis’ trainee was unable to deliver a solid show in his most recent run, as he finished at the bottom of the chart. He was a touch unfortunate, getting crowded badly at the start of the race. He struggled to recover from that point onwards and had to
settle for sixth.
The fawn dog is the seasoned runner and has the ability of bouncing back strongly. He is the son of Flying Penske out of Catunda Lorraine and was born in June 2008.
Considering the lack of form of the joint favourite hounds, Westmead Aouita and Sundance Saffy will also have a solid chance of winning today. They will find things a touch difficult in this class, but are quite capable to finishing in top three.
