In our office we are merciless to the culprit of the stupid comment. Classic moments include:

A conversation on cakes is finished when a female colleague mutters quite loudly in a masculine voice in to the silence 'I like cake'.

The office coordinator once referred to herself as the 'Rock of the office'.

When filling envelops for a mail out, a female member of staff declared that she 'enjoyed a good stuffing.'

We've had a newbie on the tube go to support himself on the tube by hooking the handle of an umbrella on a pole, miss and go flying into a pensioner.

All these have received the appropriate ridicule, but surely my office cannot be alone. Come share your stories and bring a smile to the masses.

friend of mine was a newbie @ a mechanics yard and they asked hi mto go across the road to the spare parts place to get ' a long weight' so he sat down and waited until he realised he'd been duped! funny that the next day they asked him to go across and get a 9-inch fallopian tube...and guess what he asked them and he was ridiculed

LMAO .. yours are funny!

Heres mine.  My managers mobile was ringing in his jacket pocket.  When he went to the phone, he commented that someone had changed his ringtone, as he hadnt recognised it at first.  He asked us who was responsible, to which I replied, loudly,

"I NEVER TOUCHED YOUR RING!!"

(hoping i don't have to explain this joke to anyone"]

That comment provided many months of mirth in the office.
