  3. I was never able to ride a rollercoaster as a kid, and because I was living in Arizona at the time, I was even more limited. I remember visiting Phoenix and passing by Castles and Coasters, with my face glued to the car window as we passed the park. I was fascinated with the gracefullness and motions of their looping coaster; Desert Storm. I vowed to ride one some day, and that day came when I was 20 years old.

As my family was driving ( good thing that I was NOT driving!) down La Cantera in San Antonio, my face was plastered to the window as we passed a huge looking wooden rollercoaster. I told my family that is what I wanted to ride first. My mother who is afraid of rollercoasters told me that I should try something smaller first, so Roadrunner Express was to be my first coaster. I made a beeline for the entrance while I told my family to hurry up and catch up to me.

The walk to the ride took forever, and we were finally in the station and I rode with my brother while my mother and father rode together. I freaked out on the lift hill because of the steepness of it, and the banked turns scared me as well. I watched my mother and father in front of me, and my mom was near tears, ducking and covering her eyes. Despite her fear of coasters, she rode just for her family. Towards the end of the ride I started to like it, and I was ready for the towering wooden monster next door, which I later learned was called the Rattler.

My father, brother and I took off for the entrance, leaving my mother holdng all of our stuff. The wait was minimal, and I started to freak out more and more as we traveled further up the lift hill. The first drop scared the begeezus out of me! The rest of the ride wasn't so bad, but the drops about gave me a heart attack. When the ride was over and after I pried my hands off of the handgrips, I said one thing: "Lets do it again!". Later on that day, I couldn't get enough of it, and I rode again, again, and again. My parents (after being patient and waiting) had to drag me out of the park. I spent the next day researching nothing but rollercoasters, and that led me to being the coaster enthusiast I am today. I was hooked almost instantly.

  4. i was 6 because my family is like a rollercoaster maniacs ahah. I rember being scared out of my mind & havin all these crazy thoughts running through my mind like " ima die im die". When i got on it though and it started going i was like addicted to them i was like omg omg omg lets go again. Now i cant live without them. i think everyone should at least try one. Because at first your scared out of your midn but then like its such a wierd feeling you scaredness turns into like such a rush. Its cool. i love it.
