Shared Houses. Do you ever hear the people living in the basement??

Just wondering..Because i hear the dudes that live upstairs...obviously..but i dont know if they hear anything down hear...other than if i cranked my music up really loud.

I've always opted for lower-level places, myself, but I'd imagine all that you'd hear upstairs would be either loud music, TV, etc.  I know that's all I can ever hear from my neighbors above at my current place that's well-built and fairly well soundproofed as far as the floor goes?
