Shared laundry room contract free?

Question

my rent contract says Included in rent laundry (FREE)

Does this mean using the laundry room is not included in the rent and we can have restricted access to it?

Landllord upstairs,tenant downstairs,laundry room downstairs door opening into tent flat and one to landlady hall way.

tenant door ---->laundry room ------>land lady door.

is the landlord locking the door ad opening it once a week for tenant to wash,normal? ---------

sounds to me like you are allowed to use the laundry facilities free of charge. If she is locking the door to the laundry room, you need to ask for a key. If she is only giving you access during certain times of the week and this doesn't work with your schedule, explain that you'll be happy to respect "quiet times" but, you need more liberal access to the facilities. be sure to use your own soap etc...  Good luck!
