Sharekhan Closing Session Trading?

Hi All,

I am using Sharekhan for trading stocks.

Can you please tell me what happens if I place a purchase order at the current market price during closing session?

It just shows pending order.

Does it get executed? If so at what price?

First of all, closing sessions transactions are done only at a specific price(adjusted after market closes) and that also the company share has either buyer or sellers standings at a specific time......

suppose, u want to sell something and if u c any buyer for the same quantity as of urs then only ur transaction will be fully executed, otherwise, if there is a buyer of less qty than ur selling qty then only the buyers qty will b traded and urs will be partly executed and if the scenario reversed or there are also sellers in the post market session then ur transaction will not be completed as u are also being on the sellers side.......

However, many a times it does happens that there are sellers for X numbers of qty and afterwards that turns into buyers that are willing to buy more then the present sellers, that can change the sellers qty to buyers qty and vice versa.

I am sure this will clear ur doubt......

For every order to be executed in the exchange, there should buyers and sellers.

At the end of the session, if there are no buyers for your sell order or if there are no sellers for your buy request, then the order will not get executed.

Orders will not be carried out for the next day. They get "expired" after the trading session closes.

As far as I know, if the status shows as "Pending order" it is still not executed.  Only when it displays the status as "fully executed", the transaction has executed.  The executed price will be displayed.  Add on will include tax + commissions.

during  closing cession of market u dont need to mention price because in the closing cession price is fixed which is closing price

while placing orders in the price place u need to place as 0 then only it will executed

when u place price as zero "0" order will execute on closing price
