Sharing a cruise?

looking for a single male or female to share a nice cruise with 49 year old decent working male from long island new york. I dread taking chances on a single cruise by myself. where might I look for this option?? thanks mike ny

I always cruise solo and have done so for about 20 years.  (I do take my grandson once a year - but that's it).  I LOVE not sharing my stateroom with anyone.  I LOVE solo travel.  There are plenty of opportunities to join in the fun, to meet people, dance, etc without having a room buddy you might not be compatible with.

    Try it, you'll like it.  Oh, I am older than you but by your age, I was a happy solo traveler.

  5. If you contact a cruise line and tell them you would like to share a cabin, they will try to match you. The advantage is that most of them will charge you 1/2 of the couple rate if they can't find someone for you. If you go yourself, it can become very expensive.

  6. Look on singlescruises.com  They arrange cruises with group space for singles and have a roommate matching service.
