Shark Jaws?

I recently caught a large mako shark and want to get the teeth out of the jaw to make shark tooth necklaces for all my friends. What's the best way to get it out. I have heard about people that boil them to try to preserve the jaw and the teeth fall out. Will this work for me? It is currently frozen in a vacuum seal baggy.

Best way that Ive found is first thing to do is freeze the jaw in the position you want it in after you cut it out of the shark.

Once its good and frozen, thaw it out and then cut as much meat as you can off of the jaws, the more meat you get off the better.

Then take a big ziploc bag that the jaws will fit in and have a mix of 1 part Hydrogen peroxide and 1 part tap water. Put the jaws in the bag and leave in there for about 30 min. Don't leave the jaw in there very long though, it will eat the jaw bone.

Once you take it out of the bag, prop the jaw open in the position you want it in again and set it outside in a shady area NOT in an ant bed. Ants eat the cartlidge, and that is what gets hard and keeps it in one piece.

Let it sit in the shade outside for a couple days, then once its good and dry. Take an old tooth brush and some bleach and scrub off any yellow and make it look nice. Once that is done, Then you have a nice set of shark jaws for your wall.

i cut the jaws out of a bull shark ,i was hoping to preserve the teeth in the jaw .i had heard to put it in a ant bed ,i did that and the ants ate the meat off and the teeth all fell out .I tried it again with another set of jaws and the same thing happened.If you try it you have to make it where the dogs cant get to it of they`ll run off with it ,also it smells like h**l for a couple of days
