Sharm el sheikh excursions?

Question

was thinking of going to egypt this summer and want to perhaps go to either eilat, israel or petra, jordan. I know you can do this from taba but there doesn't seem to be any accomodation left there so can you do it from sharm also?

It's an enjoyable bus trip from Sharm to Taba. You will pass the famous monastry St. Catherine and Mount Sanai area. Maybe you want to stop there and do a one day excursion. G From Taba you can take the boat to Aqaba (Jordan)  crossing the Red Sea (GREAT TRIP). Follow Lawrence of Arabia's footsteps and tour Wadi Rum.

Aqaba has nice and very cheap local accomodation and food. And the people are very friendly. An experience.

Back in Aqaba it's cheap to take the taxi to Petra (a MUST see). Later take the taxi to Eilat and work your waydown again to Sharm.

Don't forget to dive the Red Sea. Even if you're not qualified. Any PADI instructor is able and licensed to take you down for a little tour.

you will ENJOY SHARM EL SHEIKH =) and TABA as well

it will be great holiday, its the city of peace and you will just love it! and enjoy diving, snorkling, parasailing or just lying on the sandy beaches!! and you can go for atrip to island or "Ras Muhammed" place, its great.

second, Sharm El Sheik is a great place to spend a vacation in it.. I'm sure that you saw many photos on the web about Sharm.

you dont need injections or stuff like this, you will need to take sunblock actually =)) the weather this time of year is hot and sunny, so wear light cotton clothes, shorts..

dont drink tab water, stick to bottled water, there is many brands out there, and large variety of restaurant local & international.. nice coffeshops with great Shisha =)

there is a lot of sovunirs to buy, local stuff, hand made in the market, and yes its cheap!
