I have a 46" and to be honest , i wish I would have saved some more money and got a Sony. The sound sucks on it but the picture is o.k. Not the best t.v. I have owned but one day i woke up and decided I wanted a L.C.D. Sharp sent a tech out because the t.v. would blink off for about 5 seconds and come back on showing information like the t.v. had just been turned on. They replaced 2 boards of some type and i haven't had a problem since. The t.v. isn't the best in the world but their service was great.

  1. I agree with the post below.  Regarding LCD's, Samsung and Sony are producing the best.  Sharp was a market leader four years ago, but their product has suffered dramatically as of late.  If you can return it, and want to stay LCD, go Samsung or Sony.  If you want the best price / performance, go Panasonic Plasma.  If you want the best HDTV made, get the Pioneer Elite Pro-111FD.  Nothing comes close to it.

  2. i work at sears in the electronics dept. i mean there isnt much you can do now. unless you can return it. but as of right now. the top two brands that you can get in lcds are Sony And Samsung. i have a 46' samsung touch of color. which is the competitor to sonnys xbr. and the main difference is the price. if you plan on buying a new tv i suggest the samsung toc. its the 650 series.

just a little fun fact. sharp makes sonys lcd screens. :)

  3. i have a sharp aquos 46ich lcd full HD and its superb better than any sony.. People have just got it in there minds that sony are the best in everything..Well heres a  news flash there not and neither and any other company for that matter.

My sharp is connected to a onkyo sr605 , kef 3005se and a pioneer blu ray player and it kills any sony , samsung  hands down. The reason i say is that my friend works for sony and when he saw my setup he finally admited that sony are good but not the best.
