Sharp VL Z400H T

Question

The camera is working fine, but I can't download the tape any longer. I've taken it to a shop to check the firewire cable, but they said this isn't the problem.

The camera is more than 2 years old, but has hardly been used....I don't want to buy a new one!!!

Please help!!!!
