Question:

Sharp XR-30X DLP HD Projector HD?

I just purchased a High Def Sharp DLP projector model XR-30X. I want to use it for my PS3 and project HD Movies using the PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities. The back has DVI/VGA Inputs and s-Video as well as composite. Is there any adpters out there that can convert my dvi or vga inputs into HDMI so that I can use the PS3 or even any other HD DVD players. Heck, even a Component adapter will work for HD. I just have no clue how to find the adapters I need. HELP!

  1. Most projectors accept component via a component to VGA adapter (many projectors come with one or LInk 3).  There is no advantage to HDMI since your projector is only 720p/1080i capable (1st link) ... and component will give you every bit as good a picture as HDMI/DVI at that resolution. That said, DVI-D is the video component of HDMI, so you can connect your PS3 via an HDMI to DVI cable (Link 2).
