Question:

Sharp pain in ankle any help!?

About a month ago I had a pretty bad ankle sprain on my left ankle which ended up mostly healing but today I was going out of my house and all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my foot. I it hurt really bad especially when I tried to turn it to the right side and I have no idea what could have caused it unless it could´ve been the shoes which I hardly wore. I was thinking of doing the RICE method once again but I don´t exactly know how that would really help since there isnt any swelling, (at least not visible from the outside). Can anyone please give me some advice!

  1. If the RICE method isn't working, I suggest going to the ER and getting either an xray or an MRI. The doctors can give you advice for treatment options. You can also be referred to a physical therapist. If you leave it go, it probably will take awhile to heal on its own. The doctor can also answer any questions about it.

  2. Maybe you should go to the doctor. If it gets really bad got to the emergency room.

  3. go see a doctor
