  1. You don't say if you are overweight or over 40; if either one is true, then you might have the beginnings of plantar fasciitis.  It is extremely painful if allowed to go untreated.  Here's what to look for:

Heel pain upon waking.  It gets better when you walk around.  Then you rest it and it seems worse again, but as you walk some more, it feels better.  The problem is, it gets longer and longer between pain-free times.  Soon, it hurts most of the time, whether you rest it or not.  But if you walk around on it much, it starts to feel like a lightning bolt going up your leg.

Treatments:  Get a good pair of shoes with great arch support - tennis shoes will not cut it.  Get a pair of orthotics that you can take from shoe to shoe (this is the only thing that finally helped me, and I noticed relief starting the minute I started wearing them).  Ice your foot by freezing a bottle of water and rolling your foot over it for 15 minutes at a time.

Treat it early and it won't be too bad.  Leave it and you'll end up like me:  Counting how many steps from where you park to the door you enter through and thinking maybe you can't make that walk if it's more than 10.  Took a year for mine to really settle down and stop hurting, even after I started treating it, and that's because I waited so long to do something about it.

  2. Go see a doctor if pain persists for more than 3-4 days.  Could be start of "bone spur" or inflammation of the "bursa" or even start of "plantar fasciitis".  In mean time take a good, powerful, "liquid" vitamin / mineral supplement like VEMMA.  Full of lots of anti-inflammatories.  Go to www.TrySomeVemma.com

  3. a heel spur.... google it and see if your symptoms matched

  4. have you stepped on anything sharp when barefooted or maybe been stung? see if you can take a peek or someone else.

  5. maybe robin hood shot a poison arrow in it. have you checked? if not then just go to the doctor

  6. It sounds like a trapped nerve. Which is compressed, meaning, when you put pressure on, it contracts with each other and that nerve signal shoots to your spinal cord, causing that pain to happen. I would rest it for a few weeks/days, if it don't get better, see a doctor for some better diagnosis and treatments.

  7. Better to be safe than sorry.

    Go see your doctor.

    Hope it gets better!
