Don't say go to emergency, because I know it's not seriouse. Earlier today I put my contacts in and one felt really irrattated, so I took it out and there was an eyelash in it! Yikes, so later on I put them back in (cleaned real good) and I couldn't stop blinking, so I pulled em' out and there was nothing on them and nothing in my eye, and now my eyes feel fine....so what should I do?

  1. I've had this happen, too! The eyelash may have scratched your eye slightly. If so, leaving the contacts out for a day or two so your eye can heal should do the trick.

  2. You are most likely putting them in incorrectly. Make sure they are very wet and on the TIP of your index finger. Place them onto the center of your eye SLOWLY, dont rush. I know the pain that you are talking about, it happens to me when I place them in a wrong way, and it hurts so much I have to take them out right away. Try putting it in slowly, and make sure its on the very tip on your finger, thats very important.

  3. It's possible that the eyelash scratched the contact; that would explain the continuing irritation even though you cleaned them thoroughly.  Even if the eyelash didn't, you might have accidentally scratched it trying to get it out quickly.

Leave them out for the rest of the day.  If you have an extra pair, open them and start using them tomorrow.  If not, you need to have your eye doc check out your contact to see if it's scratched....if it is, order new ones.

  4. I think you should wait a a few hours or maybe a day, your eye could of gotten really irrated that it...i dont want to say swollen, but the contact wont stick on your iris right.

give it time, your eye will be alright.

  5. Wow.. I have been in your shoes a plethora of times. It could be a tear in the contact, bacteria on your contact, or maybe you shouldn't have had your contacts in for too long and they are dry(your eyes).  They will be moistured again by NOT wearing contacts and using eye drops.  My advice to you is to simply try a new pair. That always works for me.. Good luck!

  6. did you touch anything like a kleenex before you put it in your eye? or a towel?

that was my trouble when i first got contacts dont touch anything like that dont even really dry off your hands when you go to put them in that way there wont be any fuzz on your hands
