Sharpe flat screen not very loud?

we have a 32 inch Sharpe flat screen TV and at the loudest setting you can barely hear it across the room what could be the problem

If this unit is a 32" Sharp Aquos, then you probably have a problem with it. I have seen several of these models having sound issues where you can turn it up all the way and there is sound but barely. This will require a shop to repair since there is a modification to the sound output circuit to correct it.

It would help to know the model # so the features could be looked up. Read the manual under troubleshooting.

Things that could be looked at under the menu are to see if it has been locked for volume. Look under the settings for sound and try the various settings.

You also might want to tie it into your stereo system. You will have more control.

Another thought....you wouldn't happen to be getting old-timers disease would you? Seems my hearing is deteriorating.
