We have a company warranty on one their massage chairs. We called the company and they refused to uphold their warranty b/c of their bankrupcy. However, the company has closed half of their stores and will continue to operate the other half of their stores. This does not sound right to me. We just want the chair repaired. Do we have to try to get the manufacturer to repair it?

  1. Yes, you do need to get the manufacturer to repair the chair.  The way corporate bankruptcies work is that they use the process to reduce liabilities such as leases on stores, warranty contracts, and their debts, inorder to increase their likelyhood to continue as a going concern.  I am surprised that you did not receive anything in the mail regarding your warranty service having been discontinued or the liability for your warranty service having been transferred to another warranty provider.
