Australian top order batsman, Shaun http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 admits that the pressure is on him to score runs after failing to contribute much since returning to the Test side from a back injury.
The left-hander has been questioned by the Aussie media after his lack of runs in the ongoing Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, despite his side taking an unbeatable 3-0 lead.
So far he has scored a total of 14 runs from the four innings he has played against the Men In Blue, remaining the only player in the top 6 to be without a half-century in the series.
Despite such inconsistencies, he has been retained in the 12-men squad for the final bout at Adelaide and is most likely to feature at his preferred no 3 position. The 28-year-old is aware of the fact that time is running out for him but is hopeful of turning the corners in the near future.
"At the end of the day my job is to score runs and I haven't been doing that in the first three Test matches," he said. "There's always pressure, that's part and parcel of playing international cricket, I've just got to try and turn it around.”
"You don't get too many chances to play Test cricket so I know my chances are running out," added Marsh.
He however, has been troubled with a serious back problem which forced him to come into the Test side with limited preparation. Injury to his back has hindered his movement on the crease – an area which was emphasized upon by head coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mickey-Arthur-c1969.
Arthur however, backed the player to regain his form which led him to score an impressive ton on his debut. When asked about his back problems, the left-hander said that he is simply content on scoring runs.
"The back's fine now, the body's feeling great and it's time to score some runs," he said.
