The rookie Australian batsman, Shaun Marsh, has endorsed the former South African coach, Mickey Arthur, for a coaching stint with the Australian cricket team.
Cricket Australia is searching for a new head coach after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Timothy-John-Nielsen-c94043 stepped down from the coveted role following the recently concluded tour of Sri Lanka. Mickey Arthur is considered as one of the front runner for the coveted role.
Marsh, who has worked with Arthur at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 Cricket, said that the South African is a “fantastic” coach and hoped he will do some great things for the Aussies, if appointed.
"He's a fantastic coach. I've loved working with him at WA," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 while talking to the media reporters on his return to Perth.
 "He's certainly helped my game out a lot and I'm sure if he put his hat in the ring, I'm sure he'd do a great job. He's got a very good cricket brain. You can sit down and talk to him about cricket all day,” he added further.
Arthur turned out to be a successful coach for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, guiding the Proteas to a series win over the mighty Aussies in 2008-09.
After coaching the South Africans, Arthur moved to Western http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861. During his stay at WACA, he groomed quite a lot of the state players.
Shaun Marsh, who made an impressive start to his Test career in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 this summer, was also one of the youngsters Arthur trained during his tenure with WACA.
The top order Australian batsman also praised the former first-class cricketer for his successful stint with the Proteas and hoped he will bring the experience along to Australian camps.
“He was a great international coach for South Africa. I couldn't speak more highly of the guy. But I'm pretty sure that his main priority at the moment is WA cricket. He wants up to perform very well this summer," the Western Australia left-handed batsman
added further.
