Shaun Murphy satisfied with his career to date – Snooker Update
Former World Snooker Championship winner from England, Shaun Murphy is one of the leading potters and has grabbed all major ranking titles in his career that started from 1998.
The Englishman performed tremendously throughout his career and managed to claim some important snooker event titles. The player is now on his new season campaign and is aiming to make an appearance in the circuit.
The English potter started his career with the World Snooker UK Tour in 1997-98 and 2000-01 snooker season. He continued his journey in the next years and grabbed some minor ranking events including the 2000 Benson and Hedges Championship and 2001 Challenge
Tour 3 and 4. His major success in his career was 2005 World Snooker Championship victory after he triumphed over Wales’ Matthew Stevens by the score line of 18-16.
Murphy has been convincing in the previous snooker season and was able to claim the 2011 Brazil Masters snooker tournament. Besides, he managed to make his way into the final encounters of several snooker tournaments but failed to win any of them. The Magician
is quite satisfied with his career so far and believes he can continue performing well in the upcoming snooker season.
While speaking to Pro Snooker Blog during an interview, Murphy said, “If my career was to end now, it’s something that I would look back on pretty proudly, think that I did well, won the two biggest tournaments that we have in our game currently and joined
a quite a small group of players to have won those events.”
He added, “I feel like I have at all times conducted myself pretty well as a pro, I feel like I have represented the game well and I am constantly trying to put something back now into snooker which I feel has given me such a great opportunity.”
Murphy is now aiming to make an appearance in the new snooker season. He tried his best in the first two major ranking snooker events of 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker tournament and the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open event. He is now looking towards a superb
game in the 2012 Shanghai Masters clash.
