Shaun Murphy up against Dominic Dale in quarters of 2012 Six-Red World Championship
Competitions at the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand regarding the 2012 Six-Red World Championship have entered the final proceedings of the tournament as the top guns of the game are battling each other to move forward into the quarter-final
stage. The tournament proceedings of the second round finished successfully featuring eight top potters in the quarters.
With outstanding snooker skills in the first two rounds of the 2012 Six-Red World Championships, the former World Snooker Championship winner, England’s Shaun Murphy has made his way successfully into the quarter-final stage of the event after ousting the
winner of the 2012 Snooker Shootout tournament, compatriot Barry Hawkins by the score line of 6-2.
The second round clash was supposed to be a close game but Murphy prevailed from the start to make it look an easy win for him in the end. The first session was topsy-turvy affair as both players were trying to grab the lead. However, Murphy came back strong
with some tremendous snooker shots and was able to cruise into the lead to unnerve his opponent.
Murphy will be facing the Welsh potter, Dominic Dale in the quarter-final encounter. Dale also played well to book his place in the quarter-final stage of the tournament. With some classy snooker shots during the initial two rounds, Dale made a superb run
in the tournament which was enough for him to book a place against Murphy in the Last-Eight round.
Dale played against the former two-time World Snooker Championship winner and one of the most renowned Welsh potter, Mark Williams in the second round. The clash looked pre-decided as Dale was up against one of the most difficult opponents of the game but
he kept his cool and stayed focused on the game which brought him on top of Williams by the score line of 6-4.
It seems that Williams is going to claim the quarters spot as he dominated the game but after that Dale made an impression as he claimed a couple of straight frames. Dale is quite determined to face Murphy in the quarters because he is fully aware of the
Englishman’s potting skills. It will be exciting to see if Dale can manage to put in a good performance against Murphy as both players are in decent form.
