Shave with the grain or against it?

I've heard good arguments for both, so which is it?

Try a little experiment. Shave against it and them feel if all hair was cut short enough, and them shave with the grain and feel if all were cut. I find shaving against the grain is best for me.

depends on whether or not you like razor burn.  I shave with the grain and although I don't get quite as close of a shave, I like it.  Some people have tougher skin than others and they may not have to worry about razor burn as much.

Shave with the grain. fewer ingown hairs and pimples

If you go against the grain you may possibly aquire some ingrown hairs. Which aren't very pleasant to look at. Although you will get a closer shave. I personally go with the grain.

I usually do a once over with to make them nice and short, and then shave against to finish em, since it hurts less when going against when they're short. but for the moustache area I usually just do the once-over cuz that area is very sensitive for me.
