Question:

Shaving, waxing, or that nads stuff?

I dance, I teach dance and I'm going to start taking up swimming again. I'm tired of shaving, and I've tried waxing and such but never with much luck. I've got some questions, can you answer them?

If I'm waxing or using nads, do I really have to wait for the hair to grow out? (gross)

Can I wax more private areas on my own? Any tips about the pain?

Nads, does it work better thank waxing?

I've tried the stuff you put on that burns away the hair, but I used to break out... now I leave it on forever and my hair must be too thick cause it never works.

Any pros out there? What am I doing wrong?

  1. With waxing, you don't need the hair to grow long long, just so it's at a stage it can be gripped and pulled bascially around 5mm

To minimise pain, apply the wax in the direction of hair growth (Never the other way around!) and really pulling, not just touching, but really stretching your skin and pull away from the direction of growth (backwards) and do it realllly fast. Use an afterwax too to prevent infections in the hair follicles. No shower gels or bath products to be used for the next 24 hours. Just keep it to simple stuff.

An epilator is really good  though, I can happily recommend that!

If you're getting wax, make sure you buy it in a wax pot and use the fabric strips as they're so much better than the paper and will make life so much easier for you. don't put lots of wax onto the area either, just a thin amount. If you use a thick amount, the wax will just loosen and come off it'self and no hair and can actually hurt to remove when you do actually get to the hair part!

The pain isn't bad. Just make sure you're doing it properly and don't forget to stretch.
