  1. Make sure you're using a good shave gel or foam. Some people swear by taking conditioner (like the kind you use for your hair) and mixing it in for extra protection.

Also - use a razor with as few blades as possible. The 4-5 blade variety may be a somewhat closer shave, but if you're getting red bumps does it really matter how close the shave is? The same goes for shaving in the direction the hair grows, not against it. (For most of us that means shaving down your leg rather than up towards your knee or thigh).

A great after-shave product I personally love is called Prince Reigns. I started using it to avoid irritation and ingrown hairs after waxing but it works really well on preventing and solving razor burn too. (www.princereigns.com)

  2. try using shaving cream for extra sensitive skin. that helps. also, putting cooling lotion on afterwards helps as well.

  3. Use moisturizer.

  4. you have razor burn. i read in a magazine that shaving with sunscreen lotion will help b/c there is an ingredient in sunblock that counteracts razor burn.

  5. your shaving the wrong way. and if you use a razor its going to cut you tons of times. i recommend, instead of using a razor, use the leg shaving cream called spray-on shower-off hair remover. you can get it at any drugstore or pharmacy and its really sinple to use, you just spray on the hair remover just use the shower to rinse it and viola! theres no more hair AND it lasts longer than shaving.

    good luck!

  6. to tell you the truth i always end up with razor bumps too.. nair has this new stuff its nair pretty with a light peach scent, its a hair removing creme.. its actually basically amazing, 5 minutes it wipes off, and it doesnt irritate my skin, its 6 bucks at a drug store.. its quick and there is no irritation, no rash, nothing.. hope that helps.
