Shaving pubic hair.. HELP?

Question

I usually only shave my bikini line, but now i have a boyfriend and i decided to shave it all. I shaved with the grain, but it was all prickly so today i decided to shave it against the grain... now i have bad razor burn! i used a new razor and i used shampoo. My boyfriend and i are going out tonight and probably heading south.. So what can i do about the razor burn!! any hints for shaving in the future? HELPPP

Buy a product called Cootchy Cream and Spray (Lovers package carries it if your old enough)....its soothes the pain and the redness but next time use the cream to shave with so that never happens again...or use Veet...Dont let it into your southern parts just the V line south...I use it and it never causes a problem.
