  1. its may shed a few seconds, especially dropping the baggy shorts.

hair isnt a major factor, but you def move through the water a little smoother, the shorts cause drag though, theyre good to practice in cause once your in a race and wear jammers, theres no drag.

  2. wearing jammers or a brief style short will make you way faster while swimming. we got a friend of mine who isn't a good swimmer to wear a speedo to the pool and he was simply amazed at how much easier it was to swim. a swim cap will do more than shaving your legs, unless you shave your head. shaving your body is done to make you a slight bit faster during competitions. btw, swimmers shave all their body hair not just their legs.

  3. Well you may as well cos you never know...it might be the difference between winning by a tenth of a second or loosing...

Oh and wearing tight swimming pants will deffinately make you  much faster...

basically, be as streamlined as possible. every little change and adjustment can improve your performance. So go on, shave yer legs, wear tight swimming pants and be streamlined

    like a dolphin lol

  4. hahaha nice question..

    shaving not make u faster

if u wanna how to fast

then u have to swimming to get better in everydad

also, u can use jammers and it make u little fast

    good lucky

  5. Bill,

Shaving will physically only give you a tenth of a second or two by the psychological lift you get from the change in the 'feel' for the water can vary dramatically. Your taper (the tapering of your training before a championship meet) will be the most effective tool in making you swim faster though.

Baggy swim trunks? Are you a competitive swimmer? Baggy swim trunks are worn out at the beach not at swim practices or meets. I've seen drag suits but not 'baggy swim trunks'. The obvious answer is that yes, jammers (or even a normal speedo) is MUCH faster than baggy swim trunks.

    Hope this helps.

  6. I don't believe that shaving your legs may help you but definitely wear the normal bathing trunks that swimmers do and not baggy swimming shorts the shorts flear out in the water which causes resistance.

  7. yes it would help u
