Shawn Johnson VS Nastia Lieuken? Is any one really better???

These two are seriously the best of the best and the best in the world right now it seems.

Even the European and Asian and Chinese who may be training many hours longer than the American gymnasts don't have Shawn Johnson's form.

But here;s why Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liueken should be tied in general.

Shawn Johnson is the youngest and has the least number of years experience. Still, she's right up there with Nastia. But Shawn Johnson is 6 inches shorter than Nastia, so that means less body to carry over the shoulders.

Therefore it's a tie in ability and a tie in results.

Personality wise, I think Shawn is a better sport, so Shawn wins.

Their styles are completely different.

Nastia has the grace of a classical ballet dancer and her balance is perfection.

Shawn has spunk, the best tumbling skills out there and she is incredibly powerful for being so tiny. Her flips on the floor and the height she gets is phenomenal.

they both have their specialities. I think Shawn is better on floor. But they both are probly equally good. I like Shawn better.

They were both very good. I like Shawn better. Her routine is more difficult and executes it very well.

I say it is about tied too.  Both are extremely talented young women.  Nastia has the grace and flexibilty, Shawn has the passion and power.

Nastia does have quite a bit of sportsmanship than you usually see on TV, so even though you see Shawn being a good sport, so is Nastia.  I love watching both girls because they are good at what they do.  Even though I was hoping for another 1,2 finish for Team USA with Shawn for the gold, I got to hand it to the Romanian girl, she was really good and didn't have any visible mistakes so she earned that gold medal.

Before Beijing, I would have said that I liked Shawn a tad bit more than Nastia but now it seems pretty even - I love them both and I am so proud of them.

On Vault - The 33-year-old German was robbed of Gold, I saw no mistakes made by her.  The one that did get gold (a korean?) made more than two mistakes, which included going out of bounds twice.  Chung Fue(sp?) landed on her knees, that isn't medal material, especially since Alicia was quite good  and should have at least placed third.

I think they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I agree that they would tie. Nastia is much more graceful, due to her longer legs and body-type. Shawn has more power due to her figure. I think that Nastia is gorgeous on the uneven bars, while Shawn is better at vault and floor.

they r pretty equally good. coming into beijing i liked shawn a lot more but now looking at nastia, i admire her grace and flexibility and now only like shawn a tad bit more. nastia is so elegant but shawn is really fun to watch as she bounds around like a rabbit. shawn is really cute while nastia is really slim and beatiful. i love how shawn smiles and keeps a good sport but nastia is kinda sourfaced sometimes.

also i think shawn should have won floor becuz she went first and the other girl went last. this is a disadvantage becuz the judges tend to give lower scores to the first person and bcuz everyone made mistakes in front of the other girl(except nastia and shawn) she got an especially hight score. shawn still showed good sportsmanship so she is still an olympic champion to me even if she hadn't won beam . nastia also shows sportsmanship in interviews and atricles. if only she could diplay that in competitions...

Shawn is better on floor, but Nastia is the best on the uneven bars no doubt. Overall they are equal so the A-A should have been a tie, but we brought home the top two medals which has never been done before so it's all good.

I believe Shawn is better than Nastia except on the uneven bars. Shawn also have stronger thighs. I still prefer Shawn over Nastia.

better sport?  I haven't seen of the gymnasts with an angry tirade.  but it's hard to tell who's better.  we'll have to see how shawn johnson does in two years (maybe she'll get taller).

I like Nastia better. Her routines are so much prettier than Shawn's. She has more artistic talent. Shawn is much more powerful. And out of curiosity why do you think Shawn is a better sport? Neither one of them has ever shown bad sportsmanship. Shawn will go on to do really good in gymnastics. She can compete in the London Olympics. By the way... Alicia Sacramone SUCKS!!!
