Thank you each and everyone for answers it was interesting to read how everyone felt.Being a senior I feel I know what a poor sport is ,sure my spelling was a dissaster and thank you for commenting on it beet that made my day,you may get the best answer for the corrections. As for the ones who were a little curt with their answers haw sad for you,I do understand the pressures those young people go through, but it still is very unprofessional to look in the camera and look hateful. She should have looked proud and happy to have accomplished what she has done.there is enough hate and anger in this world, we need no more!!!

  1. yes

  2. yeahh but nastia was just that much better !

  3. She is great. And if she'll be back for London (and Nastia will not), there is a big chance she will finally win that illusive individual all around competition.

  4. i thought naustia was just serious and more professional like.

i liked shawn better though. but did anyone notice her eye brows were slightly crooked?

  5. the canadian olympic team is better  plus she had a mans name

she might as well be called shawn michael jackson

  6. Learn something about sports before you make such stupid comments.  Gymnastics is as much a mental game as is physical.  You have to control your emotions until you are finished, and then you celebrate (or cry).  Take tennis for example, check the stats for who hasn't broken a single racquet during a match, and who is #1, you'll find it's the same guy.

Watch Nastia, how she close her eyes and visualize her routine before she goes up.  Of course you don't understand this, because you love sitting behind the TV and judging people.

And about Shawn Johnson, she was one of the shortest and had the height advantage.  Nastia was probably the tallest of all.

  7. She is great, she represent a friend ship between USA and China, because her coach is a Chinese whom she connsider as parents

  8. I mostly agree, but you need to chill on the whole Nastia thing, and stop judging her just by watching her on tv. Sure I loved that Shawn smiled more and seemed nicer to everybody, but everyone is different. Gymnastics is a sport where you really have to focus and that's what Nastia did. The only time she seemed to pout and be upset was with the whole tie-breaker thing, and I'll admit, I would have been just like that too. I agree though, Shawn is a great gymnast, and I hope to see her in the 2012 olympics, perhaps winning more golds.

  9. look, what u said about nastia is harsh, uncalled for, and not entirely true. there were only a few times i saw her pout, one was during the tiebreaker. give her some credit, she's really good.

however, i agree with wat u said about shawn johnson. even when she didn't win, she still had a big smile and still happy.

seriously, calm down. oh, and the person who said shawn is a guy's name, it can be used for guy or girl, kind of like jordan.

  10. yea i like shawn but like nastia too

  11. "Ollimpian"...dear God....

    "sincereity"

    "truely"

    "dissapointment"

    "to much"

    "What a waist"

    "ounch"

You don't win any medals for literacy that's for sure.

(per capita Great Britain is statistically the most successful team in 2008)

  12. well i think shawn johnson is the best

nastia isn't nasty but she looks really greedy and hating

  13. i sooo completely agree :)

  14. Oh Yes,  the greatest.

  15. I didn't think Nastia was that rude, but Shawn was more polite (and more talented I think). Nastia just seemed a little stand-off-ish. Shawn's a little sweetie-pie!

  16. I don't think Nastia was rude at all.  Just because you aren't smiling doesn't meant you're a mean spirited harpy.  I'm pretty sure she was just doing her best to stay focused, especially during the all around.  It's just a difference in demeanor on the sidelines, doesn't make one nicer than the other.

As far as pouting, I think she was just confused as to why she was ranked 2nd on the uneven bars when she and the other performer got the exact same score for their routines.  It didn't seem to make sense to anybody else either.  I don't recall a single time seeing a shot of her and thinking, wow that is a hateful look.  I think you're being just a wee bit judgemental on the whole thing here.  And stating that age makes you a better judge of what is and isn't a poor sport is a little bit off the chart.  I see nothing wrong with being competitive and wanting to win and being a little disappointed when she didn't win.  In fact, she shook hands, gave hugs, and congratulated everybody who won over her each time.  Is that not sportsmanship?  I think that unless we were there and heard anything that was said or done, we cannot be the ones to judge who is and isn't a poor sport.
