Shawn Michaels refutes CM Punk’s claims – WWE News
Former WWE superstar Shawn Michaels refuted CM Punk’s statement in his recent interview. According to the Hall of Famer, he can understand Punk’s point of view considering his time in the WWE was different than Punk’s.
“I certainly understand the point he was trying to make,” said Michaels while speaking about his recent appearances in the World Wrestling Entertainment.
“It was a different time, and there was a different attitude toward us guys, but because he is a fighter and doesn’t take a lot of guff from folks — for the same reasons that he is on now and the same reason he accomplished what he has in his career now,
which is a testament to him — for all of those reasons, all the good reasons and positives because he is a fighter, I think he would have been on the first show,” said Michaels who retired from the sport in 2010 after losing a Career vs. Streak match against
The Undertaker.
Last week on Raw, CM Punk said that a guy like Shawn Michaels would have never gotten a chance to make it at Raw in the first place. Although the statement was offending, Michaels played smart by replying in sweet words.
For now, Shawn Michaels is supposedly making another ring appearance sometime soon, as per the rumours. The Show Stopper has a huge fan base, and his entrance every time ignites the passion within the area. Even though he is retired, he still is treated
like a WWE superstar whenever he shows up.
Michaels made his last appearance at WrestleMania 28 as a special guest referee for the fight between Triple H and The Undertaker. The fight was labelled as ‘the end of an era’, since it was The Undertaker’s last encounter.
When asked if he is considering another ring return, Michaels said he cannot, as his physical well being is of more importance right now. The former superstar is enjoying his retirement days with his family. Michaels is satisfied with signing autographs
and showing up randomly for Raw shows. According to him, he enjoys the respect and love fans still have for him.
