Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan?

Question

In Shawn Michaels DVD it was said that Hulk did not want to loose to Shawn and thats the way Hulk does business.

1. Why wouldn't Hulk want to loose to HBK? He is pretty smart and should know what is good for business, right? After the match lot of people are suggesting that Shawn Michaels should have won that icons vs icons match.

Some times there egos get in the way it's the same reason Hogan & Austin won't wrestle neither one wants to lose to the other

Hogan lost to the Rock only because he believed that it was a passing of a torch type of thing & Hogan knew he was still going to wrestle after WM 18

Hogan didn't want to lose to HBK because of his ego as everyone has stated, he didn't or doesn't see Micheals as his equal or someone who carried the business like he did (which is a false belief because HBK did carry the business after Hogan got busted for using Steroids but that's another story), Hogan was more willing to put The Rock over at Wrestlemania because he saw The Rock as the future of wrestling sort of a passing of the torch much like Andre did for him at Wrestlemania III, but giving what has transpired since then with The Rock retiring from sports entertainment I'd be willing to bet if Hogan could go back and do it all again he wouldn't agree to put The Rock over.  Hogan views himself as a god in wrestling and is very selective of to who and how he loses.
