Shawn on Letterman and Nastia on Leno?

For those who watched, What are your thoughts on their interviews?

Shawn was really polite and likeable on Letterman

Nastia was a sore loser on Leno

I heard that they along with the other members of Team USA are doing another talk show? Does anyone know anything about this?

I think that Shawn was really nervous on Letterman, she seemed more relaxed on Leno a couple of nights later. She comes off as humble and adorable.

I was kinda disappointed (aka PISSED OFF) with Nastia's interview when everyone (including Nastia) were making some racist comments.

I love Nastia, I really do but when she said "In our country, we play by the rules" I was like- so all Chinese people cheat on principal? or did we forget about Marion Jones?

To top it all off Norm mcdonald added that the comment about the scoring system being Commie Gobbldygook. News flash- the tie-breaking rule was established by the ICO so chances are that the U.S. of A had something to do with the system that came back to bite them in the butt. Seriously, sometimes people should learn to take defeat in stride and stop complaining when the rules don't bend towards them- they're making Americans look bad.

Btw I think that there was an interview with Sloan and Sacramone somewhere on youtube.

And to all those people who think I'm biased towards the Chinese- guess what? I'm half Chinese! I'm also half French Canadian so forgive me if I don't like people trashing my culture

Didn't get to watch either, but Shawn was very lucky to have nailed that bench routine against the Chinese girl

I thought Shawn was her bubbly, giggly, likeable, polite, self on Letterman.  As for Nastia, I thought she was also very polite on Leno.  Both girls were very humble.  I didn't hear anything about the Team USA doing a talk show.  But just an F.Y.I. on Shawn's website she posted an article about her doing various shows and events like her being on David Letterman and leading the Pledge of Allegiance tonight at the Democratic National Convention in Denver before Barack Obama is introduced.  Also, it states that Shawn will appear on Jay Leno and Ellen before she heads off on tour! (: ♥

Hey i totally agree, Shawn was herself, she was smiling and soo cute, Nastia was kinda boring, i know she won the all round gold, but god she looked so d**n unhappy lol. I didn't hear about any talk show,they are probaly doing one. Take care.

Both girls handle the press very well. Both speak well publicly. Shawn was interesting and cute on Letterman. I was surprised when she answered his question, whether or not the US girl gymnasts talked about the age controversy of the Chinese girls. She said yeah, they did. Also her comments about the thousands of people waiting to see her at her hometown airport while she changed plans and went to NY to Letterman was funny.

Nastia was also on the radio this morning. The radio bunch interviewing her at about 7 AM didn't give her much opportunity to speak. When she did, it was sort of blah. boring. They asked if she was naturally timid. She said no. Maybe more so when she is competing because she is so focused. (understandable).

Every time the Olympics are over, the talk shows such as Leno always like to have the medal winners on.

It's impossible to keep up with all their appearances. You'll just need to keep tabs on all the talk shows on TV for the next week to make sure you don't miss any of the athletes.
