Shawnee Native Americans?

Question

Shawnee means star people and tell of coming from the stars. When I took Anthro at UGA the book "Chariot of the Gods" had just come out. My prof was angry that the book would suggest that aliens, not natives, created their civilization. Do you think aliens have helped us?

I don't subscribe to the alien theory myself.

Not likely. I believe in the natural order of things. We are slowly evolving from a very meager beginning. If there are beings outside this world I think we would have discovered them by now or they would have made their selves known. After all...when we stepped on the moon aren't we the aliens?
