Shay Given on his way out and David Beckham to sign for Blackburn?
Shay Given looks set to leave Manchester City after manager Roberto Mancini confirmed Joe Hart will remain as the No.1 choice in goal.

There is the possibility of the Republic of Ireland international moving to Fulham on loan or sealing a permanent switch to Arsenal. Mancini wants Given to stay at the club, but has said he will not stand in his way if he wants to leave.

Premier League champions Chelsea could miss out on signing 18-year-old Neymar, as his club Santos have made him an offer to become the highest-paid player at the club and have refused to accept any bids lower than £29million. Also, Chelsea are battling against Ajax for the signature of Romelu Lukaku.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has said Javier Mascherano will not leave the club for anything less than £25million. Hodgson has said he would rather let the Argentinian’s contract run down for the next two years than let him leave for a cheap price. Mascherano is absent from Liverpool’s Europa League match tonight against Trabzonspor, fuelling speculation of a move away from Anfield.

Liverpool meanwhile are considering making a move for Roque Santa Cruz and Wayne Bridge of Manchester City, who are both certain to leave Eastlands this summer.

David Beckham could move to Blackburn Rovers if businessman Ahsan Ali Syed’s proposed takeover is successful. He said: “I was 26 when I started following the Premier League. I liked Blackburn back then and also used to follow Manchester United's fortunes because of David Beckham. If my finances allow and his intentions are positive then I would love to take Beckham.”

Manchester United are set to make a £12million bid for Andres Guardado of Deportivo, while Arsenal are close to sealing a move for Sevilla defender Sebastien Squillaci.

Squillaci’s Sevilla teammate Luis Fabiano will move to Tottenham Hotspur for £15million if they progress into the Champions League.

Scottish champions Rangers have secured the services of Manchester City’s Vladimir Weiss. The Slovakian international has moved to Ibrox on loan for the season. Meanwhile, Bolton’s Jlloyd Samuel is wanted by Gordon Strachan at Middlesbrough on loan.
