Shay Given welcomes Charles N’Zogbia to Aston Villa – EPL News
Newly signed Aston Villa goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 N’Zogbia. The Irish goalkeeper believes that the French winger will be a huge addition to
McLeish’s squad at the Villa Park.
Aston Villa made Shay Given their first signing of the current summer transfer window and are looking to make N’Zogbia their second and final signing of this summer.
The Villans have been strongly linked with the French international and after seeing their initial £9 million bid rejected, Aston Villa have agreed to pay £9.5 to Wigan Athletic.
Given has hailed N’Zogbia’s incredible transformation at Wigan Athletic since leaving Newcastle United two seasons ago. The former Manchester City custodian has claimed that the French international has been one of the best Latics players in the past two
seasons and is hopeful that the 25-year-old will be able to emulate his success at Aston Villa.
"The last couple of years at Wigan, he has really matured as a player and was probably one of their best players. Hopefully he can continue that at Aston Villa." He said.
Given has revealed that it has always been difficult to play against N’Zogbia as the Frenchman has been very affective for his team’s attacking strategy. 
"He brings a real attacking influence to the team. Defenders don't like playing against him.” Given added.
The former Newcastle United custodian sees N’Zogbia as one of the best attacking players in the Barclays Premier League and believes that the French international will be a huge success at Aston Villa next season.
"He's quick and strong when running with the ball and has an eye for goal as well. I think he is a very good player." He concluded.
N’Zogbia was a revelation at DW Stadium and was also named the Latics’ Player of the Season as the French international was the only player to score goals in doubt figures; 10 goals in 38 matches.
Aston Villa are trying to land Charles N’Zogbia to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Manchester United respectively.
