She can't do that can she?

Question

My mom says that if I don't..

-Stop arguing with her

-Stop arguing with my brother

-Remember to clean the litterbox

-Wake up early in the am

-Go to bed early at night

-Keep my room picked up

She is going to send me to live with my grandmother in Tennessee.

Now, Im 18.

Sure, some of those I can keep up on better but I refuse to be told when and how long to sleep at my age.

But real question is can she actually make me board a plane to live with my grandmother?

I know she can kick me out but she can't force me to go somewhere can she?

Because there is no way in h**l id live in TN again.

first of all dear you are 18 according to this law you are grown she can kick you out .get on your feet with an apartment and a job and live on your own.

Eh I guess she can't force you to go anywhere, but she certainly can toss you out.  Why not just do what she says? It's her house after all...  Maybe if you showed some responsibility and maturity she wouldn't care when you slept.

No, you're 18-legally an adult. If she kicks you out, get a job and an apartment. She can't make you board a plane and live with your gma.

If you can't afford to move out on your own and you don't want to live with your Grandma, then I guess you had better follow her house rules. Act like the adult you are supposed to be instead of a spoiled brat.

Her name is not on the lease or the mortgage so the tenant rules don't apply in her case. If she was my kid and acting like that she would get 24 hours tops.

She can kick you out, but at 18, she cannot force you to go to your grandma's house.

no you are 18. you cant be forced to do anything by your mom! .....legally, but since you are living in her house, you should respect her and try to do those things, but i definitely see where you are coming from w/ the sleep thing. you dont need a bed time, you are 18!

No she cant make you do anything you don't want to do except kick you out of the house because you are an adult. But still in order to kick you out she would have to give you a notice. I think in some places it is a 30 day notice and other places it is a 2 week notice. So even if she kicked you out you would have some time to find another place to live because you legally live there so there for if she wants you out she has to do it legally by serving you a notice and waiting the 2 weeks or 30 days.

She can kick you out but no she can't force you to go anywhere.  If she kicked you out, you'd be legally able to choose where you went.
