She probably stole it or bought it off someone but she takes the only disabled parking lot and she walks just fine. I need that spot bc I am in a wheelchair. Ive confronted her. Now I want to go to the authorities. What can they do to her?

  1. Report her to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and give them her license plate number and they will handle this for you.

  2. Get her tag number and call the local police...they will be glad to help......they love the big fines.

  3. The real owner could be disabled. That is common. You can report it to DMV in your state.

  4. If the permit does not belong to her or if it's counterfit, she could be in trouble.

It may legitimately be hers as there are reasons people get those permits other than walking disabilities.

If this is at your work, you could also contact your HR department and let them know they need more accessable spots in the lot. One seems a little too few.

  5. How do you know she is not disabled ? It maybe a mental problem...They can also qualify for these cards. Has nothing to do with being able to walk..

  6. How do YOU KNOW?

I have one also (legally) and I bet you cannot tell by looking at me leave my car that I have a legal disability either.

  7. Some disabilities are not shown visibly.  When you confronted her, did she mention what her disability was, or did she admit that she was cheating the system?

  8. Maybe she does have a disability.. How do you know for sure... maybe it's not visible

  9. Many disabilities are not readily visible! How do you know that the handicap parking permit that she has is not valid? Just because she "walks fine" does not mean that she does not have a medical problem that qualifies her for the permit!

For example, she could have a heart or lung condition that makes walking long distances a problem.

You say you confronted her and she is still parking in the space. This would lead me to believe that she has a legal permit and has as much right to the space as you do!

She does not have to discuss her personal medical conditions with you, nor do you have the right to ask her to prove that she is legally in the space!!!

If you want the space, you need to get there before she does! First come, first served!

  10. if she is not disabled she deserves to be reported to the council who issue the badges, but beware as others have said she may have a disability that you cant see - i get very cross too when i see people parking in disabled spaces and indeed parking slots for mums with small babes - young couples get out and trot into the shop - disgusting i think

  11. Fine her, that's about it. Or possible jail time. She might have a disabled relative and use their permit while running errands. She should let you park in the spot first since your affliction can be seen(wheelchair) report her. Get the jutsice needed

  12. Not all disabilities are readily visible. She could have a serious heart condition or any number of things wrong with her.
