Question:

She is keeping us in waiting.?

Me and my friends have invited Susan to be honoree at a social

event. Susan was great in helping us launch the event before.

This upcoming social event is a thanks to her.

We also asked her if she would like to play the piano for us.

One piece. She is a professional pianist.

So far, it seems that she is interested in having the event in honor of her.

We have been waiting for 1 month to find out if she wants to play the piano. If she doesn't, then we would just adjust the event schedule.

Is there a reason why she has not told us if she would like to

play the piano?

We are kept in waiting. Why?

  1. Why should a piece played on the piano be such a major event?  Plan the schedule.  Allow her a 20 minute slot to do what ever she wishes.  She can play piano or talk or thank the others in attendance.  She is the guest of honor. She should not have to be constrained.

  2. So you are thanking her & asking her to cough up some free entertain for you at the same time. Tacky!  Change the idea & maybe she will get back to you.

  3. why dont you just ask her...yes or no??

  4. Ask her again for a final commitment to the performance.  Tell her that you are at your time limit for the decision.

If she can't make the commitment for whatever reason, tell her you are obligated by time constraints to take that as a "no" and schedule accordingly.

  5. Probably because you are busy asking us rather than asking her....
