Sheamus and Kane retain titles at Summer Slam, Undertaker returns
It was one of the most explosive Pay per Views of the year, the biggest wrestling party of summer, the great Summer Slam. Summer Slam was the occasion where the top championships of WWE were on the line with the best fighters in the world competing for them. The apex viper of WWE, Randy Orton clashed with the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus for the WWE Championship. Both wrestlers had been attacking each other from behind and Summer Slam was the moment when they had the chance to show case their real talents and settle their disputes once and for all.
It was an epic match as both wrestlers fought as there was no tomorrow. Sheamus focused his attack on Orton’s right arm and tried to injure him. However, Sheamus did not know that the viper is most deadly when it is injured. Sheamus executed his wrestling finisher called the Brogue Kick to end the match. During this finisher, Sheamus takes a few steps in the ring to build some momentum and kicks his opponent hard on his face. Randy Orton astonished every one when he kicked out of Sheamus’s wrestling finisher. The Celtic Warrior was confused as he did not know what to do next so he disregarded the rules of professional wrestling and went outside the ring to pick up a steel chair.
The referee tried to stop Sheamus but he pushed the referee on the concrete floor. No wrestler even in the wildest of matches attacks an official. The referee disqualified Sheamus on his attack and ended the match. However, Sheamus retained his prestigious WWE Championship as the match ended by disqualification. The Viper, Randy Orton was furious as he knew that Sheamus had got himself disqualified on purpose. Randy did not spare Sheamus and delivered a deadly R. K. O on the announcers table. It was a R. K. O from h**l as Sheamus felt his face kissing the announcers table with all the force. Wrestling pundits believe that there will be more carnage on Monday Night RAW as Randy Orton thinks that he was robbed of his title shot at Summer Slam.
Another hardcore match was fought between the ultimate underdog, Rey Mysterio and the big red machine, Kane, with the World Heavy Weight Championship on the line. Both men had accused each other for attacking the dead man Under Taker. It was time to settle differences once and for all. It was a classic match characterized by high powered moves by Kane and flying manoeuvres of Rey Mysterio. The master of 619, Rey Mysterio showed some great resilience as he kicked out from various finishers.
But at the end the rage of Kane proved too much for Rey as he defeated Rey and retained his World Heavy Weight championship. Before the match, Kane vowed in front of wrestling fans that he would put Rey Mysterio in a casket after the match. The opening of the casket gave a shock to everyone as the Undertaker rose from the dead. No one expected that the Undertaker would be resting in peace in the casket. Rather than attacking Rey Mysterio, Undertaker choked Kane by grabbing his neck.
Undertaker then tried to execute the Choke Slam to create the maximum impact. But Kane was ready for the attack as he grabbed Undertaker and delivered the Tomb Stone Pile Driver. It was a devastating blow to Undertaker who went in to an unconscious state. These are not good signs as there will be great carnage and destruction when the two brothers will face each other on Friday Night Smack Down. Many believe that it was Kane rather than Rey Mysterio who actually attacked Undertaker. Wrestling fans will come to know the truth when Undertaker addresses the wrestling world on coming Friday.
