Sheamus defeats Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds to grab the title – WWE News
While most WrestleMania 28 matches were longer than usual, the match between Sheamus and former World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan ended in just 18 seconds. Astonishment was in the air just when Sheamus Brogue Kicked Bryan to win the match.
Daniel Bryan, who grabbed the belt from The Big Show last year, was left shocked in the ring. Bryan’s controversial championship reign came to an end and Sheamus proved himself worthwhile. Bryan had grabbed the title from The Big Show, after the latter had
defeated Mark Henry. Bryan cashed his Money in the Bank on The Big Show and snatched his gold. By doing this, not only Bryan humiliated the largest athlete in WWE but also made him a ‘6 seconds champion’.
Things between Bryan and Sheamus were not really good and Bryan always got away due to controversial circumstances. Not only against Sheamus, even against The Big Show, Bryan never won clean in the following matches. He always got away one way or the other
but never really defeat Show or Sheamus.
However, this time it seemed like Bryan had no other choice. To a certain extent, Sheamus did not win square. He acted as an opportunist and kicked Bryan in the face just when the former champion was kissing his girlfriend AJ. Bryan did not notice that the
bell had rung and he was busy making out with his girl just when Sheamus found the opportunity to deliver his brutal Brogue Kick right into the former champion’s face. Sheamus pinned Bryan in 18 seconds to become the champion.
For now, Bryan has to face the humiliation of being defeated without even putting up a fight against Sheamus. Sheamus on the other hand was pretty excited for defeating Bryan this way. Probably this is what Sheamus thinks Bryan deserved since he has always
ditched others. This time, tables turned over and the smart Bryan made a mistake on which Sheamus capitalised. Unfortunately, this time, Bryan did not get the time to play smart and smooth. He just lost and that was all about it. In 18 seconds, the World Heavyweight
Championship slipped from his hands into Sheamus’ hands.
