Sheep per Acre?

Can anyone tell me where I can find info on how many sheep per acre are viable in various regions of Australia. Specifically the semi-arid areas of South Australia.

In central California, cows can do well at 2/acre if irrigated.  On dry land it can be 1 cow for every  8 to 20 acres.  Sheep are about = to 5 for every cow.  On high desert, in Oregon, it can go to 10- 50 acres per cow.  The locals can tell you about the specific area you are looking at.

If you are not planning on giving supplements such as grain or bales, population would vary between 4 sheep per acre on most humid areas down to 8 acres per sheep (arid areas).

You should always reserve fields for winter no matter the considered area.

And, as usual, the dryer the area is, the longer the resting time should be.
