Shehram Changezi and Sharjeel Mahmood storm into quarter-final of 3rd Ranking Snooker event
Two of the talented potters of Pakistan, Shehram Changezi and Sharjeel Mahmood had a great start in the Jubilee Insurance 3rd Ranking Snooker Championship 2012 at the Karachi Gymkhana Club. The pair performed brilliantly and has successfully made their way
into the quarter-final stage of the event after clinching some important victories.
The third ranking snooker event has so far produced some of the best snooker competitions among the top elite of the game in Pakistan. Besides, the young talent has shown great determination during their event and has made major upsets beating experienced
cuemen.
Changezi was up against the former International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) World Snooker Championship winner, Mohammad Yousuf.
The clash seemed a tough competition because Yousuf had experience of playing in the international circuit while Changezi had also tested his luck at the international baize in England last year when he participated in the World Snooker Qualifying School
(Q School). However, at the end of the game, Changezi was able to defeat the veteran potter to surge into the quarters.
On the other hand, the talented Sharjeel claimed six consecutive victories to ensure his place in the quarter-final stage.
In other matches, current National Snooker Champion Mohammad Asif was able to defeat Mohammad Nazir by the score line of 4-2 to move one step ahead to achieve his goal.
