Shelbourne A3 and A5 finals preview
Two more finals are set to go at Shelbourne Park Wednesday night: the A3 final over 525 yards with 460 euros as its prize money and the A5 final over 525 yards with a prize of 410 euros.
Shelbourne A3 525 Final
Barbican Ace will run from the first trap. The pup does not have much experience, and squeaked into the final with a third place finish in the semi-final. Ace spent most of that race in fourth and needed
a late push to get into third.
In the second trap is Highview Gem, a difficult hound to bet on to win. Gem has finished second in three of her last six races, unfortunately she finished in fifth in the other three races.
Avalon Impact will go from the third trap, and should be the favourite in this one. He’s won two of his last four races, and took second in another.
In the fourth trap is Penskey Biddy, who after not racing for much of the summer looked good in the semi-final recovering from a poor start to take second place. If the rust is off, and Biddy has a good
start she should challenge for the win.
Barefoot Blue won his semi-final heat, and has taken first place in three of his last four races. Blue is another strong contender to win this final, and will race from the fifth trap.
On the outside in trap six is Kilduff Rocket. Kilduff took third place, 7 lengths behind Blue, in his semi-final. His trap number could very well be his finish number on Wednesday.
Shelbourne A5 525 Final

Glassmore Abby drew the first trap in the A5 final. She took first in her semi-final on the home stretch last week, but the inside trap draw in the final may allow her to get ahead earlier in this race.
Tictac Diamond will go from trap number two. Last week Diamond looked great in his semi-final, winning the race by eight lengths.
In the third trap is Catunda Ben, who hasn’t raced very much in his career,  will probably not be a factor in the final.
Make Music Maeve took the early lead in her semi-final but dropped to second on the last bend, and then to third near the finish line. She’ll have to have a stronger finish to place in the top three this
time. She’ll race from trap four.
Music For Fun, who recovered from a poor start to take second last week, will race from the fifth trap. Don’t expect a similar comeback from her tomorrow if she gets behind early.
In the sixth trap is Friday Agreement. Friday has yet to win a race, or lose one by less than 8 lengths for that matter. Before racing in last week’s semi-final, Friday finished fourth in an A8 race, 8
lengths behind third.
