Shelbourne Park has two £1,000 finals Saturday

Shelbourne Park is set to host the £1,000 Shelbourne A1 525 Final, and the £1,000 Shelbourne A2 525 Final on Saturday. Both races are expected to see tight finishes after close semi-final races.
£1,000 Shelbourne A1 525 Final
Highview Horizon will start from the first trap in the A1 Final. Last week Horizon lagged in the final stretch, and not only lost second place to Cool Ivy Hill, but ended up 5 ½ lengths behind Hill. Don’t
expect her to finish in the top three in the final.
Black Hall Pearl finished in second last week, just a ½ length back of Glencullen Lad. Lad has finished first or second in her last four races, but she’ll have a tough time beating the field in this one.
She’ll run from the second trap.
Touch Of State, in the third trap, looked good last week, having no trouble winning his race by 2 ½ lengths over Ivy Hill.
Glencullen Lad will be going head-to-head against State from the fourth trap. Lad looked good in his semi-final too, leading for the entire race before finishing a ½ length ahead of Black Hall Pearl.
In the fifth trap is Cool Ivy Hill, who got off to a poor start last week, and had to come from behind to take second place. If Hill gets off to a similar start in the final, he will probably not be able
to recover as effectively as he did last week.
In the sixth trap is Tyrur Thursday, who squeezed into third place in his semi-final last week.
Look for one of the semi-final winners, Touch of State or Glencullen Lad, to take this race, and Black Hall Pearl to keep them honest.

Walk On Fire will race from the first trap in the A2 Final. Last week, Fire took an early lead in his semi-final, but dropped back to third on the first bend before finally ending up in second place, just
¾ lengths back of Daring Lee.
In the second trap is Royal Kate, who took the lead on the second bend in her semi-final last week, but then dropped to fourth on the third bend before slipping into third place to earn a spot in the final.
Biko Duke took the first bend in last place in his semi-final, but slowly worked his way into second place, finishing just a shoulder behind  first place finisher, Doodle Doo. A better start in the final
and Duke could challenge for first place. He’ll go from the third trap.
In the fourth trap is Airforce Sheriff. Last week Sheriff moved from fourth to second and finally to third to earn his spot in the final.
Doodle Doo will race from the fifth trap. Last week she looked good holding the lead for the entire race, and fending off Biko Duke in the final stretch to win by a shoulder.
In the sixth trap is the other semi-final winner, Daring Lee. Lee started off poorly last week, but recovered in the second half to win the race by ¾ lengths over Walk on Fire.
Doodle Doo looks good in this one, but Biko Duke could best her with a better start than he had last week.
