Shell Collecting Beaches?

Where are some good beaches (internationally) for shell collecting? I've already been to Sanibel/Captiva- probably the most famous one. Any ideas? Thanks!

America's Mid Atlantic beaches can yield a wide range of shells, artifacts and unique treasures. Atlantic shells tend to include knobby whelks, smooth whelks, moon snails, periwinkles, bay scallops, ocean quahogs, hard clams, jingles, limpets, cockles and others.

If you were in the Pacific Islands I could tell you a load of places with different colored shells and other things you could collect!
