Liverpool midfielder, Jonjo Shelvey, feels that he did enough against the Young Boys in a Europa League match on Thursday to merit a starting place in the Reds upcoming home fixture against Manchester United.
The 20-year old bagged two goals in his side’s opening Europa League group fixture, to help them record a comeback from behind win.
Liverpool claimed the fixture 5-3, despite trailing 3-2 at one stage.
The English International came on as a second-half substitute, and played the pivotal role in the Reds remarkable comeback.
The Anfield boss, Brendan Rodgers, now faces a selection headache, going into the crucial league game against United on Sunday.

He said that he was delighted over having repaid his manager’s trust of giving him ample opportunity this season, and that to feature in a Liverpool-United game will be like a dream come true for him.

Although the attack-minded midfielder was glad to his see him side emerge victorious, he admitted that conceding three goals in the game was an area of concern for them.
However, he praised the team for bouncing back, and insisted that they will only improve as the season progresses.
“The boss was not happy we conceded three away from home. But we’ve come out and made a statement that says we can score goals and we proved that,” he added.
