Sheppard/rottie mix, what should we name him?

Were planning on adopting a dog, and we found a wonderful candidate, but his name is buddy, and we want something more original and special.... any suggestions?

Hi,  I love the name Buddy.  Please re-consider changing his name as I'm sure the poor dog is already confused enough. It's bad enough to be put up for adoption and then have to learn an new name.



Years ago I used to visit a beautiful dog in his back yard I didn't know his name so I called him buddy.  One day I met the owner and asked him his dogs name and you guessed it it was buddy.  It suited him.

Maybe you could call him buddy as a first name and add another to it, like buddyblue or buddy-boy or or or.  Anyway good luck with your new boy.

I know someone who called their Jack-Russel Elby. We later discovered that it is actually 'LB', which stands for 'Little Bugger'!
